“Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”

Ephesians 4:16

The Mission

The age of mega churches has passed and with it has come a deeper desire for connected relationships. According to the Barna Group, Pew Research Surveys, several other independent researchers, and our own experience, Seattle and the surrounding metro area is leading the nation in becoming non-religious, with over 50% of the population identifying as non-religious. In 2020, a survey of college students in both non-Christian and Christian colleges, two-thirds of all students upon graduating, abandon the Christian faith and feel more distant from God than when they started their studies. Combine these startling realities with many other surveys and data and the need for pray, examination and change is deeply obvious.

The mission of the Ekklessia Project / Endeavor Church, is to listen to what God is saying through the overwhelming data, pursue his plans, and seek to awaken the world to the beauty, reality, and love of God in the form of a focused, genuine, intimate, and grounded group of believers.

The Goal

  1. Establishing a missional community in Silverdale / Bremerton, Washington by February 2025.

  2. Gathering together weekly to worship, support, pray, and pursue a deeper understanding and relationship with Christ.

  3. Weekly serving our community through a free meal and coffee service.

  4. The publishing of the online blog “Christ at the Heart” twice a week.

  5. Content creation to build, lead, teach, and confront the lives of Christians and non-Christians.

  6. The establishment of a bible college to train, teach, and multiply believers to go and plant missional communities centered on Christ and the Gospel, grounded in good theology and practice.

  7. Pursuing, through prayer and action, an awakening in our community, country, and world centered on Christ and the Good News.
